Lightning Blue Jays

Hayden played his last soccer game of the season this afternoon. He was on a really fun team, with a coach that taught him a lot. He absolutely loves being part of a team and playing sports...any sport. He is usually carrying some kind of ball with him and asking everyone if they want to play catch. I walked outside the other evening and he was kicking a soccer ball back and forth with the mom next door. Sports light him up.

Tyson's Spring Sports

Right now one of my favorite parts of being a mom is sitting at the boys sporting events. Tyson is playing soccer and baseball and Hayden is playing soccer. Ty has two baseball games, soccer practice and a soccer game every week. Hayden has practice and a game. It's fun to be outside and watch them enjoying themselves. Hayden truly loves it. Dinner time gets interesting, I try to use my crock pot once a week. If I don't we end up eating pizza, which I don't think they mind. Hopefully, I will be able to get some good pictures of Hayden soon. I haven't dared to take my camera to many of his games...it's rained for almost every one this spring.

Fishing and Squirrel Hunting

We spent the afternoon fishing at Tibble Fork Reservoir. For the first hour or so we were there we didn't get any bites. The boys kept them selves entertained squirrel hunting. They carried around a big fishing net, peaked into holes, and chased the little critters.

The fishing really picked up after a while. We ended up catching nine fish within half an hour. My boys have no problem holding the slimy fish. At one point Hayden even cuddled one like it was a baby.

We brought the fish home and Chad seasoned them with onion and lemon pepper, wrapped them in tinfoil and grilled them outside. I have been trying very hard to like fish and seafood, and I was proud of myself for eating a whole fish.
